I could probably give some tips about servers...like making sure you use only drives that are rated for server use and that any backup that remains connected physically or electrically to the live system isn't a backup at all (at best it's a mirror but not a backup)...ideally have it go off site too.
Most important though is to give a congratulation on good grades that I trust is appropriate?
BTW hard drive failure like that usually costs, on average, upwards of $2,000 to fix via drive recovery companies so your decision to abandon such considerations was inevitable IMHO.

My pleasure...I've probably got copies of almost all, if not all, of the missing files so if anyone needs them (including Daniel obviously) I'll post them as required.
Server/drive problems are an absolute nightmare so I'm sure we'll all do all we can to help during this period while Daniel gets past his exams and has time to work on his site(s) again.

I know that the change style item in the first post of this topic works properly, providing that you have the item that Perplexed pointed you to installed as well...it's been downloaded and used by a lot of members here with no unresolved problems outstanding for it. Have you now installed that item?

Precisely right Perplexed...it's stated quite clearly in the first post of this topic and the error reported by ShadowStriker has been reported before with the same diagnosis too...

Really I don't mean to be unkind but please read all of the topic before reporting an error or saying a product doesn't work...the chances are that more often than not your problem will have been resolved before for somebody else and the answer will be in the past postings as in this case.

When you install the item in the shop admin you should fill in some data fields...the error you are discussing is there because you installed the item with those fields empty. You might be able to edit the item and add the missing data via the shop admin...I haven't tried it with this particular item...or you might have to delete it then add it again this time filling in the data fields.

I'm not complaining! In fact for me it's de bene esse. It's also a case of forum non conveniens it being easier to resolve here than on the arcade site. However you can try it out again as you said seeing as habeas corpus ad subjiciendum.
