My only question is....how does this work exactly? As I'm a bit confused, I mean, I understand it's for betting, but how does it work?
This section allows you to view all posts made by this member. Note that you can only see posts made in areas you currently have access to.
So If I reinstall it afresh and make sure it is clear that you shouldt use quotations etc... then it will be fine?
Looks like a cleared most of the errors up. It appears they were caused by me not understanding class_exists, and thus using constants when I shouldve quoted. That quick already? REALLY? WOW!!! You don't play around do you? I wasn't expecting you to just have only 2 more things left to do, I was thinking oh this will be a few weeks yet...WOW!!
Anyways... just need to work on upgraded food and starter pets now.
My pleasure...mind you does this mean I can't get you to do a custom install of php for me? That one's crossing my eyes a treat.Yeah, see I'm staying away from ALL code at the moment. Even looking at simple HTML is causing my brain to overload, I think I've been staring at code for too long LOL.
Actually Cron is a Unix (also Linux and BSD) service...you need to tell it the details of what you want it to do and then it will execute the commands you've given it at set times that you've given it (Chron indicating chronometer)...here's a tutorial...THANK YOU, you explained it soo much better than I could have, but then again, I have a migraine, and explainning anything right now is impossible LOL - but that doesn't change the fact that I don't like cron jobs LOL

o_0. Thats very odd. Sorry about that. I have no idea what would be causeing the duplicate code.Oh that's fine, I can wait until then I agree that it would be a pain to them before an admin panel, I guess I should have mentioned that when you started on the admin panel that would be a great time to add the categories LOL sorry about that. But seriously, I think you're doing an awesome job with this mod, I hope to have my pets made pretty soon, so I can finally add it to my working forum, as I know my members will LOVE this mod!
Pet categories can probably come when I actually create an admin pannel. They would be a pain to do before that though.
I honestly think that these would be awesome mods!! I'd love to see a lottery mod, but no cron job LOL. But I could see where and RPG forum would LOVE the Job and Auction Mod, especially if they have clans.
what is a cron job? I keep seeing people talk about it and i see it in my cpanel but dont want to messa round wth it because I already messed up my site 2x but what is it and what options should i used when i do deside to do it
So they way I would see this working would be to make some items "gallery items" which, upon use, go into your "gallery" which is displayed by your posts. So like, once it goes in it cannot come out. It probably wouldn't be *that* hard to code.Honestly you lost me on code talk, but I will say this much, most of the forums that I've seen that have this feature, ONLY have this feature. They don't have all the cool stuff that the SMF Shop has, granted some forums have a lotto, jobs, and this image thingy, but they don't really have what SMFShop does, at least I don't think they do. So, I'm pretty happy with how SMFShop is now, granted I love LOTS of the addons (specially the pet mod *wink*), but one reason I love SMFShop is that you can do more with it than others.
I would accomplish this by have a new table called "shop_gallery" or something like that. It could contain a list of gallery item id's, group the gallery item belongs to, and pictures.
You would then have a new row in the members database that contains an array of all the gallery item ids which the member has.
The display code would then like sort the items by group and output the the result.
PHP does have a sort function on arrays, right? That would be the only major hook-up.
Yes they work together and, indeed, the RPG mod will use the Avatar Maker mod from Technodragon (as I understand it it will require that that be installed.) The two aren't the same but there's little point in writing an avatar making part of the RPG mod when Technodragon's product already exists so, very sensibly, they decided not to re-invent the wheel.Oh okay, yes I've been waiting for this RPG mod, but I can wait as long as it takes, as perfection takes time
Again as far as I know (and I'm not party to what is shared between them) Technodragon isn't coding the RPG mod but is acting as a helper and beta tester.
You know you've got a good community when you see this level of cross-pollination of ideas and help given from one person to another.
