Coding / Bank interest error

I read the Wiki, and I did everything it said, but I am getting an error from my Cron Daemon email:

/bin/sh: /home/[my login edited out]/public_html/Forum/interest_log.htm: No such
 file or directory

I went back to the Wiki to make sure I had put in the cron job right, and it DOES ask for the interest_log.htm file at the forum root directory. However, I have no interest_log.htm file that I can find.

I have the dointerest.php file in Forum > Sources > shop

Am I supposed to make an interest_log.htm file? I ran a search in the forum to see if this was answered before, but either it was not or I missed it.

You need to install the first pet version, THEN install 0.1, as it's an update.

It's still saying the package is corrupt. Is it a package where I have to just add the unzipped files to the pets directory and overwrite some files, or should it work in the forum package manager? I didn't see any instructions on the download page.

Also, how do I actually access the pets? I can see the cage and food in the store, and it let me set them up for sale no problem.

I am getting a "The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF." error on the 0.1 version. Do I have to install the first version before trying the second version?

the avatar can be most things, just try the default avatars that come with smf, if they work, then its working correctly.

also if it cant handle the avatar it will let you know

It is just not working, and it is not telling me anything. It says all the tests are fine, but when I egg someone, the avatar turns out broken.

Hmm, well it did make it pass the check, but now the avatar is showing up as broken. There is no avatar in the egged directory, either. I read somewhere that something has to be a GIF file. Does the avatar have to be a gif file? Does the avatar have to be uploaded, or can it just be linked? Does it have to be a certain size? If one of those is the cause of the problem, that should be any easy fix. I'll just set it so people have to upload an avatar rather than direct linking it, set the size, etc.

Okay, I have a weird one. I created an egged directory in the avatars directory in my forum. However, when I go to add the item, it says "EGGED DIR NOT FOUND, please create an egged directory @" and shows my OLD host and domain info instead of my current sever settings. My server settings are all set up correctly, but I am thinking maybe since we had the shop in the old directory, somehow the databases or files or something got a bit wierd during the transfer. Where would I go to check, and how would I fix this?

It DOES say "GD SUCCESSFULLY FOUND, ITEM SHOULD WORK"

As I expected, when the item is used, it doesn't create the egged avatar. Instead it has a broken image. I am sure that would be fixed if the right path was able to be put in place.

General SMFShop Discussion / How to add "increase karma" item to my shop?

I saw an increase karma by 5 item in this forum's shop. What do I need to do to add that to my forum? It would be extremelly useful because karma actually allows people to purchase things like custom made graphics, etc. on my forum (it's done manually; though I am trying to figure out how to make it so people's karma on my actual website could be automatically updated by me changing it on the forum if anyone could give me clues to doing that). We call it "Cosmo Cash", and one of the things you can use the shop money for is to purchase more karma.

Conversely, is there a way to take from karma and give shop money for it instead? Like take 5 karma and give 200 shop money?

I added it, but now it will not let me do anything with the item administration except restock items.

This is what it looks like in the admin panel:

If I add action=shop_items_edit etc. to the index.php url, I get an error saying Fatal error: Call to undefined function outputEditOrDelete() in /home/(myusername)/public_html/Forum/Sources/Load.php(1647) : eval()'d code on line 210

I reupoaded all the files to put the shop back to the previous version so I could at least use the shop still.

It is deleting all the avatars in my forum, too. Nothing is being saved in the avatars/egged folder when the item is used.

Here is how everything is set up:

I just put my images in both the items_images the flag_images folder.

Then go to the shop/items/Flag.php file and look for where it says "Flag:" replace "Flag:" with "Pet:"

After some fiddling around, I got it set up. I also managed to set it up so people can sort of have pets. They can name it by putting it's name in the custom user title field (which I moved just under the pet image). I changed "flag" to read "pet". You cannot care for the pet, but at least you can display it and name it. Considering that I know pretty much know no PHP (other than what I muck around with on the forum...usually giving me a parse error for the first 10+ tries until I finally get it right LOL), I am pretty proud of myself!
