Items / Re: Item: EggAvatar
« on: June 15, 2008, 05:06:05 am »
Hey, unfortunately I get an error now when I try to use this item.
8: Undefined index: eggtaunt
File: *****/forum/Sources/shop/items/EggUserV2.php
Line: 175

It eggs the item the first time, although it still logs this error but on other attempts, it will not add another egg.  You can only deface the avatar once for some reason.  Why is this? How can it be fixed?
Thanks!

Edit: Now it is adding the wrong image/not adding it at all.  I picked a tomato and it was a snowflake that appeared on their avatar. :D

General SMFShop Discussion / Re: "Hacking attempt..."

Sorry to double post but the last post was on the 9th so hopefully you won't mind. :)

I'm not sure if this is related but I found another hacking attempt error:

"mysite.com/forum/index.php?action=shop;do=inv3;id=735
Hacking attempt...

UPDATE smf_members
SET
usertitle = "Don\'t Bring Me Down!!"
WHERE ID_MEMBER = 1193
LIMIT 1
File: mysite.com/user/htdocs/forum/Sources/Subs.php
Line: 634"

Members are having a bit of trouble using this item, I was wondering if it has anything to do with apostrophes and other symbols members put in their titles.  The same member managed to use the item by missing out the apostrophe.

Line: 634 "

I found this error in my log today :S  It appeared about 3 times.  Any idea on what caused this or what I should do?

Edit: Turns out that the change usertitle is not working at all since I replaced it with the updated one :/
I tried with a test account and got the database error screen :P
"Database Error
Please try again. If you come back to this error screen, report the error to an administrator."

In the log, however, I recieved a different error from the first "hacking attempt..." one:
"mysite.com/forum/index.php?action=shop;do=inv3;id=649
Database Error: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'Rawks
WHERE ID_MEMBER = 74
LIMIT 1' at line 3
File: mysite.com/forum/Sources/Subs.php
Line: 634 "

I'm not sure if any other items are affected either, I'll have to check it out but how do I sort this out?  :-[
Thanks!

Cool item! :D
However, I had a similar problem to David:

8: Undefined variable: rollIs
File: /************/htdocs/forum/Sources/shop/items/prediction.php
Line: 61"

Nothing appeared to go wrong but it logged an error :S
It happened after guessing correctly :P (In this case a "1")

Just wondering if you have any ideas on what caused it and how to fix it? :)

Thanks for the great item! =D

General SMFShop Discussion / Logging in the moderation log
« on: September 05, 2007, 01:59:05 am »
Hey, I noticed that the sticky topic item doesn't add an entry to the moderation log.
I know it will sound a bit weird but I was wondering if there was a way to log it?
It's just I'm thinking of doing something where the members sticky topics bought from the shop are unstickied after x amount of days as the boards are getting a bit messy with 'em, so really I need to see the log to keep track :) Or even if there was a shop mod that did that itself? (although that might be complicating things :P)
Thanks!

General SMFShop Discussion / Errors...
« on: August 09, 2007, 11:50:37 pm »
I've had the shop going well for a few weeks now, but I noticed a few errors that appeared together last night...

8: Undefined index: amount
File: /home/fhlinux210/g/mysite.com/user/htdocs/forum/Sources/shop/Shop-Bank.php
Line: 61

8: Undefined index: type
File: /home/fhlinux210/g/mysite.com/user/htdocs/forum/Sources/shop/Shop-Bank.php
Line: 64

8: Undefined index: type
File: /home/fhlinux210/g/mysite.com/user/htdocs/forum/Sources/shop/Shop-Bank.php
Line: 106

ERROR: The type passed was not valid!

All from the same member and at the same url:
http://www.mysite:P.com/forum/index.php?action=shop;do=bank2

Does anyone know what happened there?
Thanks!

General SMFShop Discussion / Member trying to steal?
« on: August 01, 2007, 11:28:43 pm »
Hmm, I noticed this error came up for a member in the error log:
What are you doing? That ISN'T your item!!! And you even went to inv3!! Well, I thought you might try that... Stop trying to steal, SMFShop is smarter than that ;) "

What exactly were they trying to do? :P does it seem to be deliberate?
Like, were they trying to use someone elses item?

Hey, thanks very much =)
ShopAdmin.php is up-to-date :) and as far as I can see, so are the others.
About running installScript.php...will that affect anything with the shop? So far my members are using it and have already earned credits and bought items :P Will they lose anything?

General SMFShop Discussion / [SOLVED] Random Money
« on: July 27, 2007, 05:55:37 am »
I remember there was this problem in the old version but I thought it would've been fixed in 3.0 :)
In the give random money item, everyone who has used it so far has told me that they've recieved negative amounts of credits. I tried it out myself and sure enough I also lost credits each time.
Is this still an issue or is it messed up on my forum?

I found an old thread from 2006 with a file to replace but the link was dead xP

Thanks for all of the help :)
As for the karma problem, is there a way of sorting it? It pops up everytime I make a change to it in admin :P

I googled around last night and figured out my problem to the last bit :)

I found that because the files and folders were created in my browser and not ftp that I basically don't "own" them and have to ask my host to recapture the ownership of those files :)  That also explains a few other issues I've been having with my forum  :P

I wasn't able to move, rename, upload, chmod or even delete the files that were created.

"The problem is not with the use of CHMOD. You cannot CHMOD any file that you do not 'own'.

The problem is with the use (or lack of use) of CHOWN and CHGRP to change the Owner and Group assigned to the file(s) or folder(s) which normally cannot be done via FTP.

As I said previously, contact your hosting provider and request to have all of your files reset to your Unix userID and Group.

Perhaps if you pester them enough about it they'll add a convenient 'Re-capture ownership' button to your hosting control panel like mine has."

Yeah, I sent a ticket to my host, hopefully they'll be able to sort it :)
