Requested additions / Betting Mod?

Basically, the members of my forum have asked if a betting feature can be implemented, for sports and other things.
Example:
Shop admin adds game between the New York Giants and the Jets on Monday, sets betting period for 6 days, so people can place a bet for the next six days. They can input odds i.e. 2 to 1 odds, or 9/5:1 and after the game is over, shop admin inputs the results of the game and points are distributed.
Obviously, this could be used for things other than televised sports, such as people playing games against each other, or if a user can eat 20 peeps in 20 minutes (So they can bet for or against)
Would this be possible?
