Bug Report: SMF 3.0 on SMF 1.1
« on: January 19, 2007, 04:08:11 pm »
When attempting to edit an already existing item so that it is in a category I get an Error saying Hacking Attempt.

The item in question was an Email the Admin item. The error happened when I submitted the form.

Does this happen with all items, or only the Send Email to Admin item?
Does the name, description, or email itself have a semicolon (;) in it?

It seems only to effect the Email Admin item.

No semi-colons(; ) were used in the email address, description, or name.

It only seems to cause a problem when editing an already existing item, if I create a brand new item of Email Admin type and set the category there it works correctly.

What about in the actual email itself?

What about if you create a new Email an Admin item with the exact same details (name, description, email address, email body)?

That is what I ended up doing, and there were no ; anywhere not even in the message.

I just thought you should know that there is a problem. I found work arounds.
