Installation issues
« on: August 22, 2006, 06:30:48 am »
Hello.  I've been using SMF for quite a while now and came across this mod a while ago and would love to include it in my forums, but am unable to due to a few reasons.  I get a few errors during the package installation such as the following image shows:

Problem 1:

I also have a strange thing where it says it's version 2.1 even though I downloaded the Fresh Install of 2.2 as shown in this picture:

Problem 2:

Any suggestions on this?  I can get server specs and whatnot if needed.  Thanks.  :)

The SMFShop 2.1 could be something with code and daniel might need to update that. As for the errors you have to read what it says to do.

I understand the code thing, that's no biggie.  But as for "read what it says to do", what do you mean?  I've already followed and read all instructions for the installation, unless I missed something that wasn't with the mod or that was only recently posted on the forums.  It doesn't say anything else about those errors other than what the screenshot illustrates.  Please elaborate on what you mean.  Thanks.  :)

The problem you were having with the version number was a mistake by me... I just fixed it now ;)

About the 'Test failed' errors, you may try to install SMFShop, and then manually edit the files that it's having problems with. Just continue the installation, and once it's done, open install_SMF1-1RC2.xml from the SMFShop ZIP file, and search for the sections for those particular files. Hopefully, you'll understand the syntax of the file, and you'll be able to modify the files yourself :)

Otherwise, if you're still having problems, please feel free to reply here :)
