[SOLVED] Shop Broken - No Mod Option
« on: July 13, 2007, 06:07:05 pm »
Umm, this is interesting. i installed version 3.0 on my SMF 1.1.2, and it seemed to go smoothly, but when I checked it out I couldn't and still can't find the control panel for the admin, and the shop doesn't appear to function correctly (Or I haven't found the admin panel to make it function correctly)

Any help would be nice.

I was also discouraged when I found about having to do all that work to change it to the pimpness of pnpn113. :( Is there a button made for this? I didn't find one.  :-\

i dunno about pnpn113 is but i'd say your shop isn't working because you have your forum set to utf8

go to admin > server settings and check the "Default Forum Language" if it's set to utf8 you have two choices

change it to just english (which is what i decided to do)

or

make a copy of  "Shop.english.php" which you will find in

themes>default>languages

and name the copy of "Shop.english.php" to "Shop.english-utf8.php"

and you should be alright right to go the only problem i've found with keep with utf8 is that a lot of mods don't work yet and you need to do the similar rename trick for them and some of the default files of smf (like "Modifications.english.php") so i'd prob stick with jsut changing it to english instead of utf8

hope that helps

Hey, thanks for your quick reply. I found that out after I posted.  :-[

I got it working now, copied the english file and renamed it for utf-8.  O0

Edit:

Well now it seems items don't show up in my shop. I added a few, and there are none in the list. :(

Edit: Solved!
