Title: [SOLVED] FlashChat Integration problem
Post by: Cobra97 on September 22, 2007, 12:11:55 pm
Hi,  I just installed  Flash Chat on my SMF 1.1.3 and everything works fine. However when I tried to install my FlashChat Integration I got two errors.  I don't know anything at all about this, so I don't have a clue what to do......Here are the two errors that my SMF give me when I go to install:

12. Execute Modification ./chat/inc/flashChatTag.php File not found
13. Execute Modification ./chat/inc/cmses/smfCMS2.php File not found

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks John

Try and chmod those 2 files to 777 or 755.See if that helps.

in your ftp client, right click and change the attributes of 2 files to 777 (Read, Write, Execute)

i figuerd it out

make sure you have the "chat" folder in the forum root

but not in others, then in the root

example

root/forum/script_2/FlashChat_v2417/chat              the way i had it - bad

root/forum/chat                             pretty simple huh? took me a while but now it installed without error

but i found i dont like it as well as other mods i have found simply because i was expecting it log me into the chat room automatically
however it i great if you dont wanna alter the PHP yourself

so now i uninstalled it      lol

hope this helps someone
