So how do my members GET money?
« on: March 16, 2006, 07:15:24 am »
OK, I installed the latest SMFShop on SMF1.1RC2.  It's working good, but I'm wondering how my users are supposed to get any money.  They only way for them to get any money is for me to edit it.  Has something gone missing?  Is there a file to edit?  What's wrong?

EDIT:  by the way, I checked and yes, my forums have the "count money" options on.

Well, they're meant to get money by posting. If this is not happening, then something is wrong. Please open your Sources/Post.php file and see if there is a shop section in it (search for Shop in the file). If not, please send me your Post.php file (my email address is dansoft [--at--] dansoftaustralia [-(dot)-] net

Please provide a link to your website, so I can have a look. Thanks :)

Odd, the SMFShop area is in fact there, but still no one's earning anything.

The site is at www.ksoftgames.digibase.ca.  What the heck, thats all I can think of.

:P I found out what's wrong!

You've set it so that for each new post and/or topic someone posts, they get 0 credits. To change this, go into your admin panel, and click 'General Settings' on the bottom-left (Under 'Shop Administration'). Then, under 'Per new topic' and 'Per new post', type in how many credits you would like your members to get.

This isn't good.  I would have SEEN it if that option were there.  If I go to that section of the ACP, all I see is this:

Nothing about per topic/per post.  Is there a manual way to do this?

I'm just having a look on my SMF 1.1RC2 installation now... The admin panel doesn't seem to appear properly on some SMF 1.1 RC2 installations.

Here is how it is meant to look:

EDIT: Please try it in Internet Explorer, and tell me if it works.

Whoa!  I had been using Firefox before, but in IE it displays FINE!  Maybe you could try and fix this by the next version?  10% of the Net uses FF now...

THANKS! :D

Hi,
Could you please try replacing your ShopAdmin.template.php file with the one at http://users.tpg.com.au/dan15/smfmods/ShopAdmin.template.php.txt , and tell me if it fixes the problem for you?

It is weired, I am having exact same problem, even after making sure my subs file has the shop addition to it.

Members are not getting any credits, nor am I able to see the shop admin in my SMF control panel.

backend, check your Post.php file for the SMFShop code.
Do you have the 'Per new topic' and 'Per new post' set to something other than 0?
