purchase alerts?

i was thinking of having some sort of purchase where the buyer would receive something from the forum, but is there a way to alert an admin of that purchase so we can get it delivered?? its having their website sponsored at the top of our site

You can use the 'Email an Admin' item for this purpose ;)

Yep that's how I use it as well. I really don't like the idea of the programming changing someone's user group to something special automatically.
