Adidas Equipment Purchase, a tech-upgrade on a heritage Three Stripes runner, to convey themes connected to the 1978 Lufthansa heist and the raiding of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum's Blue Room in 1990.The green pair represents Boston, its tonal colorway matching with that of the Blue Room at the aforementioned museum. The black/white one is New York's entry, with its Lufthansa connection perhaps being familiar to readers for its part in Goodfellas.If ever there was a shoe appropriate for navigating dystopic wastelands in, this is it. The pair shown is a creation from Australian sneaker boutique Highs and Lows, who designed the shoe (in collaboration with Adidas) to look like the car Mad Max drives around the hellish landscapes of the eponymous film series.
