1.1.2
« on: March 11, 2007, 07:11:22 pm »
Hi

Is there any plans for an SMF Shop that is compatible with 1.1.2? I've just install version 3.0 or SMF Shop but it doesn't seem to be working  :(

I just downloaded that and installed it and it's exactly the same?

I goto shop and it's got some people there but nothing under the "Stuff" menu, no where to buy items etc.

if you are using a custom , you will need to take a look at this thread here

looks like your Shop.english.php file is missing

try uploading it manually to the Themes/default/languages/

Strange, my package should work fine on SMF 1.1.2 - I'm using it here (admittedly, the one here is the development version, but it's essentially the same at the moment).
The package-info.xml file has:
    <install for="1.1 RC2, 1.1 RC3, 1.1, 1.1.1-1.1.99">

So it should support all future versions in the SMF 1.1 branch as well :D

As Feeble said, it looks like the Shop.english.php file is missing or corrupted. Check your error log and see if anything is in it. Also, look in the Shop.english.php file, and see if the stuff really is in there (it may be blank)

yeh i attempted an install on 1.1.2 as well with no luck it threw no errors on install but it definitely didn't install properly

EDIT: I'm beginning to think it's not this package but the version of smf i've tried to install 12 different mods that are apparently 1.1.2 compatible  to a fresh 1.1.2 installation and no luck on 9 of them and these are fairly well developed packages smfarcade smfshop smfgallery and more

just to be certain you have manually uploaded all the shop sources and template files?

its possibly that your apache server may have timed out whilst installing or something related.

i would more then likely just reupload everything. NOT USING THE PACKAGE MANAGER

more then likely you have a 0kb file

sorry to hijack thread we're you talking to me feeble?

if so yeh i've been through and checked all the files all was good but still not working, checked the file i downloaded all seem good but i downloading a new one just in case uninstalled and installed from new package through package manager again checked all files everything appeared ok but still no store, uninstalled tried manual install using daniels package parser as a guide uploaded all files through ftp still no go then decided to upload all files through control panel still no go tried all the fixes i could find on this forum such as upload shop.template.php etc but nothing seems to work i've been over everything a few times and have spent a good 6-7hrs trying to get it running but still no luck but maybe i've missed something from overload i'll try again and see what happens.

also i've had alot of trouble with 1.1.2 with packages that supposedly support it and i've read a bunch of threads on the smf forum with people having issues as well. i came across one post (from [unknown] ) that stated he thought you could use the 1.1.0 -1.1.99 like daniel has used in his package.xml file but apparently you can't so i changed that to a strict 1.1.2 statement and still no luck it installed but same problems as before (i think they may have been fixed as well). i also came across another post stating that the package manager was having a problem with the temp folder it creates and to create one manually tried that but still no go.

anyways i'll try another manual upload and see what happens.

cheers.

Just thought I'd let you all know,

Yes, the current SMFShop package needs to be modified to work with 1.1.2. After moving forums from a free host to a domain name, I upgraded to 1.1.2. When I tried manually installing SMFShop, I found a few minor PHP errors, for example there was an echo inside of an echo. I fixed these problems easily, but Daniel, I think you need to update it if you haven't thought of that already. ;)

It does? I didn't experience any problems with it during test installations :-[
Additionally, a package similar to the current release one is installed here...
